February 09, 2021#148 – Living Litely w/ Grace KennedyMeet Grace Kennedy, the Founder and General Manager of LivLite — Vancouver’s first zero-waste grocery delivery. She started this business while on maternity leave and quickly realized that travelling with a baby, on her bike, to refill her glass bottles was hardly going to be sustainable. Less than a year later, she launched LivLite in an attempt to leave this planet treaded on slightly lighter for the next generation including her 2 year old son.LINKS:Green Vancouver: www.vancouver.ca/green-vancouver/zero-waste.aspxLivlite: www.livlite.co Hosted on Acast. February 02, 2021#147 – Beyond Bread w/ Ed and Natasha TattonIt started as a side hustle, out of the side of a local kitchen, to a group of Mom’s who helped spread the word in Whistler, BC. Ed, a passionate or dare we say, obsessed baker has turned the side hustle into one of our favourite local vegan bakeries with the support of his partner, Tash. Churning out over 150 loaves of sourdough a day, this is not simply a “pandemic hobby” — this is a new way of life. And when having the chance to speak with entrepreneurs who are crafting their way to making a dent in the universe, one loaf of a bread at a time, we can’t help but get excited! Tash put it so well: “We are selling happiness” — and it is indeed the most delicious version of happiness in the village.LINKS:Ed’s Bred Website: www.edsbred.comEd’s Bred Instagram: instagram.com/eds_bredEd’s Bred Facebook: facebook.com/EdsBReD Hosted on Acast. January 19, 2021#145 – The Power of Intentions w/ Cecily + StephSelf-proclaimed goal-junkies, Cecily and Steph continue to wrestle with the “old way” and stretch into new ways of proclaiming their future. The act of goal-setting is a constant state of living into the future, yet it can easily leave one not present to the moment at hand. If 2020 taught us all anything, it was just how precious each fleeting moment is. To compliment that, these two ladies dove into a conversation of declaring intentions. Like putting on a fluffy pair of slippers or lacing up racing flats, the intention is set when your feet hit the sole of whichever shoe. Cecily reminds us that intentions set the way and show you the path; the goal is always simply a guiding light. January 12, 2021#144 – From Failure to Author w/ Dominik TrottierInspired by meeting this beautiful stranger, Steph caught up with Dominik on his tales of the last decade. As a student who failed his pilot’s license exams, he decided to make it through high school only long enough to get out and head straight to Spain for the hike of a lifetime: the camino de santiago. 800km later, he spent 30 days hiking and only took one day of rest for his weary, blistered feet. He recorded his journey and after 7 years of writing, has published his first book! During that time, life has taken him on it’s own adventure moving to Canada, taking up running and exploring new passions. It’s impossible to not be inspired by people taking action.LINKSUltreya on the Camino: amzn.to/2WeoQ2gMore About the Author: dominik-trottier.deBook Trailer: youtube.com/watch?v=F0lREOb6eK0 Hosted on Acast.
