In this first episode, I want to read you a poem by John T. Atwood called The Poem For Every Person.

It's a poem of reassurance because by opening up to me or a Kairos Centre Team member, you'll be opening up the most intimate parts of your life to a stranger, and I'm very sensitive to that.

My assurance to you is that we will never breach your confidentiality. Not only will we look after your information, sensitively and wisely, but we will create a safe space so that you feel confident enough to share some of those intimate areas with us without feeling judged or shamed.

I'm inviting you to embark on a journey with us so you can give up this thing called sex, porn and love addiction and trade it for something much better.

Your brain is not your best friend for a period of time when you first embark upon a Recovery Programme. It will sabotage. Learn to build treats and rewards into your recovery.

Watch for other co-addiction behaviours coming through the back door to replace the role of sex, porn and love addiction as you are achieving sobriety.
