There was no magic of the cup in CB5. Despite United’s late rally thanks to a Sullay Kaikai double off the bench, the lead was too much to overcome, and the U’s bowed out of the cup with no shame lost. 2026, what a way to make an entrance. It might be too early to call this Ben Knight’s year, but he certainly stole the headline’s at the year’s curtain-raiser, with a brilliant double and so nearly a brilliant hat-trick.
