United come away from the North West with another clean sheet and finally an away point. There wasn’t lots of match action to discuss, but plenty of chat about our formation, our approach and whether this is a good point in isolation or still continuing a worrying trend of not being able to score away from home. Jules, Tom and Caspell are on this week to review their day out in Salford.

Next up in United’s League Two journey is another trip to the North West, this time to face third in the division Salford. Sitting just one point off top, the Ammies pose a tough task, and our away form doesn’t fill anyone with any confidence. Jord and Jules are on to discuss Vertu, FA Cup draw, Salford away with a preview from One Up Front Blog, and do the exciting live draw for the hospitality giveaway.

FA Cup First Round weekend is always a magical one. But with a Kouassi double and a Brophy top-corner finish as the cherry on the cake, United made sure to snuff out as much magic as possible and avoided the dreaded banana skin with the visit of Chester. Swindle was our man on the ground, joined by Jordan for the pod to talk through getting in the hat for the next round.

The first dose of cup fever for United this season, and hopefully not the last. In a certified throwback to years gone by, Chester come to town, and despite struggling in their league campaign so far this season, we all know about the famous magic of this cup. Swindle and Jordan are joined by Neil to help preview the game.

Some things never change. United’s poor away form. Shayne Lavery’s hamstrings made of Weetabix. And a Monday morning pod to pick apart a defeat. Tom and Caspell are on the pod this week to look back over the 2-0 loss at Notts County.

United kick off the first of two tricky away league games with a visit to the East Midlands, and an always highly anticipated trip to Meadow Lane. Jules and Caspell are previewing the game, and they’re joined by Tom from Notts County Talk to get an opposition preview.

Another three points at the fortress Abbey, confirming United’s home form as the best in the whole division. Despite a nervy second half, Harris’ side held strong against Michael Cheek the goal machine’s Bromley. Jules, Tom and Swindle are on review duties, going over all the action (and stoppages) from Saturday’s lunchtime kick off.

Another game, another chance for a bounce back. United welcome Bromley to the Abbey for the first time in a Football League fixture, hoping to keep the goal machine Micheal Cheek quiet. Jules and Swindle are joined by Josh Parker, who helps to preview the game and talk about his role at Romsey Mill and the charity’s recent partnership with United.

It’s almost too predictable. United faced a team that hadn’t taken the lead at home since February, hadn’t won or taken the lead at home in Michael Appleton’s 31 game tenure, and sat 23rd in League One. Fast forward to 5pm on Saturday, Shrewsbury came out comfortable 2-0 winners to leave United still looking for anything resembling consistency. Matt, Tom and Jord try to unpick it all.

United head up to Shropshire to face a Shrewsbury side sitting 23rd in League One as we look for our first back-to-back wins of the season. All the stats seem to point in United’s favour, but can Harris’ men bring a bit of consistency to their league campaign? Caspell and Jules are joined by Salopcast to look ahead to the game.
