Teaching on the trilogy of parables in Luke 15, focusing on the Parable of The Father.  The ones that listened to Jesus tell these parables were considered the worst of the sinners.  We are all prodigals having wasted the inheritance given to us - our time, money, and faith opportunities.  All of us at some point have squandered that stewardship, but it's never too late to start over with God.  All it takes is the right attitude of facing ourselves and turning back to the Father's house.  God will give you another chance to start over.

There are two separate and distinct judgements: the judgement seat of Christ, known as the "bema", for believers, and the great white throne judgment for non believers.  At the judgment seat of Christ, faith will be rewarded and worthless works will be burned up.  Since salvation and evil deeds are not in question here, but rather an accounting of our stewardship, this message should be a wake-up call to the lethargy of the church. The peace offering symbolized God's provision for mankind to have communion and fellowship with Him. It had to come after the burnt and meal offerings so that we could first understand what Christ had to do before we could even have fellowship with God.
