  • EPHESIANS 4:1-6

Dr. Sean Cole continues teaching verse-by-verse through the book of Ephesians. In 4:1-6, we see Paul transition from gospel indicative (Chapters 1-3) to moral imperatives in how we should walk in a manner worthy of our calling. Paul gives four ways to do this: (1) walk in humility, (2) demonstrate gentleness, (3) practice patience, and (4) maintain the unity of the Spirit. In verses 4-6, he gives a Trinitarian declaration that undergirds this call to unity.

  • EPHESIANS 3:14-21

Dr. Sean Cole continues teaching verse by verse through the book of Ephesians. We see Paul's recorded prayer in 3:14-21.

This prayer is divided into three parts. In verses 14-15, we find the address of the prayer to the heavenly Father.

The request itself is found in verses 16-19. There are two major requests and a summary request at the end.

In verses 20-21, Paul spontaneously erupts in praise, which is commonly called a doxology.

  • Holy, Holy, Holy! ISAIAH 6

Isaiah 6 is a wonderful and terrifying passage of Scripture. Dr. Sean Cole explains three key elements of this text.

First of all, Isaiah experienced the royal sovereignty of God. (vs 1)

Second, Isaiah was confronted with the absolute holiness of God. (vs. 2-5)

Third, Isaiah’s sin was forgiven entirely (vs. 6-7)

  • Come Let Us Reason Together ISAIAH 1

Dr. Sean Cole preaches Isaiah Chapter One. The main idea is: God completely forgives the repentant, not the religious.

This passage unfolds in FOUR major sections.

First, we see the predicament of total depravity (vs. 2-9)

Second, we see the practice of false religion (vs. 10-20)

Third, we see the pronouncement of fatherly discipline (vs. 21-26)

Fourth, we see the promise of gracious salvation (vs. 27-31)

  • EPHESIANS 3:1-13

Dr. Sean Cole teaches Ephesians 3:1-13. Paul shows us a mystery that was kept hidden in the Old Testament. Here is the mystery revealed: The inclusion of Gentiles into the family of God would not come through circumcision or obedience to the Mosaic law. Instead, Gentile inclusion comes through the Messiah, Jesus Christ, who would reconcile us to Himself through His cross. What are the privileges of being part of God's family for both Jews and Gentiles? What are the unsearchable riches of Christ? What does it really mean that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God is on display to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms? Listen and find out.

  • EPHESIANS 2:11-22

Dr. Sean Cole continues the teaching series through the book of Ephesians. In 2:11-22, Paul teaches that through the cross of Christ, we have been brought together into the one family of God.

What does it mean that Jesus is our peace? What is the dividing wall of hostility He has broken down? How should we treat each other in the church? What is our identity as the family of God?

  • The Gospel According to ISAIAH

Dr. Sean Cole begins a new sermon series through the book of Isaiah. In this overview, he provides the five major themes of this epic Old Testament book.

First, the LORD is absolutely HOLY and worthy of our submission as King.

Second, God’s people have rejected Him in prideful rebellion.

Third, God’s people have engaged in rote worship and foolish idolatry.

Fourth, the people must practice justice by being a light to the nations.

Fifth, the Lord promises hope and redemption through the atonement of the Suffering Servant.
