Understanding the Bible

Nothing more heart warming to me than to hear the feats of Heroes. I always think of not just the battles but the things that led up to them and what happens afterwards. The lives saved, the people rescued, the families that the Heroes go home to; or possibly the deserted dwelling that the lonely warrior gets to rest in after it is all over.

Not all warriors are heroes, but all Hero's are warriors. God wants us all to be warriors for Him!

If you have ever been told that tattoos are a sin, or if you believe someone who has a tattoo needs to repent and have it removed, or if you have a tattoo and aren't sure what to do about it; you really need to listen to this podcast today.

Lev 19:28 "You must not make any cuts in your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD."

This verse is NOT saying that you can't get a tattoo.

This is definitely a grand finale on Heroes of the Bible, even though I don't intend this to be the last hero I talk about! The question in our minds should be, what is a Hero? It is NOT a sports star, celebrity, singer, inventor, politician etc.

A hero is someone who does something great at the risk of their own life, like a soldier or a firefighter. Sometimes they pay the ultimate price, and actually lose their life to save another.

Listen to the greatest Hero story ever told!

Do you believe the Bible is ACTUALLY God's word? Do you and I have enough faith to believe what the original written words of God say, even if we don't understand it?

Let's talk about election. In other words, are we predestined to end up in Heaven or Hell? Did God CHOOSE who would be saved while letting others die eternally in Hell.

Spoiler alert:

The Bible never contradicts itself. God does not lie.

1Samuel 18:7 "And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. 8 And Saul was very wroth..."

David had been annointed King, but still served under King Saul for a time. This led to his attempted murder, escape, exile, and all out war against him.

Later King David united the Kingdom, enlarged the borders of Israel, established ZION, the city of David, and ruled justly.
