Undrafted Rookie

The new NFL year has started and players are on the move...

• Maxx Crosby is going the Ravens, except he isn't anymore and actually he's just staying where he is.
• Tyler Linderbaum goes to the Las Vegas Raiders and resets the market.
• Mike Evans signs a team-friendly deal to join the San Francisco 49ers.
• and genuinely loads more, too much to cover to be honest

The season finale of the 2025/2026 NFL season has been and gone. So in some senses, this is the season finale of Undrafted Rookie. In many more real senses it is not.

This week we talk:

• Seattle Seahawks' dominant defense
• How Sam Darnold became a Super Bowl Champion
• Will Campbell and Drake Maye stuggles
• Confirmation of NFL Honors/Honours, including a robbery of Kyle Shanahan

It's the weird week after the playoffs but before the Super Bowl. So we're going to do our version of an all-pro / pro bowl / team of the season type team thing.

We discuss:

• Coaching moves galore, including Raheem Morris becoming the new DC for the San Francisco 49ers and Todd Monken going to the Cleveland Browns
• Matthew Stafford or Josh Allen for MVP?
• Why Kyle Shanahan definitely should win Coach of the Year
• How too many Texans made of defensive team of the year.

This week we review the AFC and NFC conference title games. Two games both alike in dignity... though not necessarily similar in any other ways.

We talk about:

• How Sam Darnold played the best game of his career in the NFC title game
• Jarret Stidham's costly fumble / backward pass against the Patriots.
• Riq Woolen's taunting call that could have cost his team the game (but shouldn't have...)
• Other Broncos / Patriots / Rams / Seahawks stuff probably

The best week of NFL football all year is almost here.

This week we chat...

• Mike Tomlin walking away from the Pittsburgh Steelers
• John Harbaugh gets hired by the New York Giants
• Preview every divisional game, including 49ers at Seahawks
• Reflect on what went wrong (or, what didn't) for Paul's beloved Philadelphia Eagles

The regular season is now in the rear-view and with that comes two things: a) the NFL play-offs, and b) Head Coach firings. Both exciting developments, one more positive than the other.

This week we talk about:

• All Wild Card match-ups coming up this weekend, especially the 49ers and Eagles game which Paul and I are both personally invested in.
• The firing of John Harbaugh from the Baltimore Ravens after 18 years (including a Super Bowl victory)
• The non-firing of Zac Taylor from the Cincinnati Bengals.
• Other stuff

We are back from a short, unplanned, break. What a relief. And just in time for the end of the NFL regular season...

We talk...

• NFC South match-up to determine the division winner (or, actually, maybe not)
• Seattle facing San Francisco for the division and the number one seed in the NFC - high drama.
• How much do we trust the Ravens after up and down performances. Can they topple the Steelers to claim the AFC North?
• We also rank all 14 play-off bound teams in a mostly vibes-based exercise

NFL Football. Week 14. Business end of the season.

We talk...

• How the Philadelphia Eagles' win streak continues despite playing against a quarterback playing with a broken arm.
• How the Houston Texans slammed the final nail into the Kansas City Chiefs coffin.
• How - somehow - Phillip Rivers has become a genuine option for the Indianapolis Colts at quarterback.
• Others
