Undrafted Rookie

Paul isn't here this week so it's just me (John) - sorry.

I talk at you about a couple of the big storylines from Week 3 and 4 of the NFL season:

• Blocked FG by Jordan Davis sees Philadelphia Eagles get a dramatic late win over the Los Angeles Rams
• Scrappy game in San Francisco sees the 49ers edge past the Arizona Cardinals - though at the cost of losing Nick Bosa for the rest of the season.
• Shootout in Baltimore where the Detroit Lions assert themselves as serious contenders (again) against Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens.

Week 2 of the NFL season is done and in the books.

This week we're talking...

• San Francisco 49ers road victory over the New Orleans Saints, which saw Mac Jones find his feet again, and saw missed opportunities for the Saints which left Spencer Rattler still searching for his first win.
• Los Angeles Chargers incredible defense which held the Las Vegas Raiders to only 9 points on Monday Night Football (sorta).
• Baker Mayfield doing Baker-things to propel his Tampa Bay Buccaneers team to 2-0 after a last minute winner against the Houston Texans on actual Monday Night Football.
• We also barely mention the Cowboys.

There is finally NFL football to discuss, so that's what we're going to do.

We're talking...

• NFL Kickoff game where we saw the Philadelphia Eagles unconvincingly beat the Dallas Cowboys despite Jalen Carter's ridiculousness.
• The mammoth fixture on Sunday Night Football that saw the Buffalo Bills mount an incredible comeback over the Baltimore Ravens.
• The debut performance from 2024 first round quarterback JJ McCarthy - not necessarily perfect but he found a way to win (something he's very used to by now).

Football is back! Well, nearly. Week 1 is just around the corner, so we're looking at some of the key match-ups and things we're excited to see.

We're talking...

• Micah Parsons blockbuster trade from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers
• Kansas City Chiefs' week 1 trip to Sao Paulo to play the Los Angeles Chargers.
• Will Aaron Rodgers get revenge on his former team when the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New York Jets?
• Can a week 1 game really be an MVP decider? That's right, it's the Saints vs the Cardinals. Only joking. Well that game is happening, but I'm of course referring to the Bills against the Ravens. Lovely stuff.

We're ranking quarterbacks again. Not another one! Yes, another one, deal with it. This one has a slightly different, though not original format.

We're talking...

• How close is Jayden Daniels to breaking the Big Four?
• Is Trevor Lawrence still a solid starter? Or are we being fooled by his college tape and long locks?
• What do we think about Bryce Young? Can we safely assume he is good now? Or might he regress to his former self again?
• Same questions but for Sam Darnold^

We're making predictions for the upcoming 2025 NFL season. Starting with the end of season awards, and going on to Super Bowl predictions and who will get the first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

We're talking...

• Can Travis Kelce rebound from a down-year last year to lead the league in receiving yards?
• Could the likes of Cam Little or Brandon Aubrey break the NFL record for longest Field Goal in 2025?
• Can anyone (please) defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC playoffs?

Simple game of this or that, A or B, what's more likely, etc. this week. We'll be asking questions about how we see the upcoming 2025 NFL season unfolding.

We cover...

• Who will have more receiving yards in 2025, George Pickens or DK Metcalf?
• Is there any hope for a rookie offensive lineman to win OROY?
• Will Kirk Cousins spend the whole 2025 season on the Atlanta Falcons?
• Can the Philadelphia Eagles have a perfect season?
• Can the New Orleans Saints go win-less?
• Other stuff

Undrafted Rookie Goes to Vegas...

Or, more accurately, struggles to interpret online gambling sites.

We're looking at predicting the 2025 NFL season, but with betting odds in mind. Listen to find out how to make millions (of mistakes).

• Can the Denver Broncos overcome the odds to knock the Kansas City Chiefs off the top spot in the AFC West?
• Can Philadelphia Eagles' Rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell impress enough to win Defensive Rookie of the Year?
• Are Aidan Hutchinson and Christian McCaffrey in a two-horse race to win Comeback Player of the Year
• Can the Miami Dolphins overcome bad vibes to get to over 8.5 wins?

The final of our NFL divisional round-ups is here and we just about finished in time for Paul to go to work.

This week it's everyone's favourite division (outside the AFC North?) - the NFC West.

We're talking...

• The Los Angeles Rams' stacked roster - are they legit Super Bowl contenders?
• Can Marvin Harrison Jr. take a step forward to propel the Arizona Cardinals into the playoffs?
• Will a new look Seattle Seahawks offense actually work? Or will it at least work enough to allow their impressive defense to win them games?
• With loads of change for the San Francisco 49ers, can their defensive rookies can charge and get the 49ers back to the NFC championship game (where, I'm sure we all agree they belong).

We continue our NFL divisional round-ups with the NFC South.

This week, we're talking...

• Are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers true Super Bowl contenders?
• How much of a difference can Michael Penix make for the Atlanta Falcons?
• Can the Carolina Panthers become a relevant team in 2025?
• Are the New Orleans Saints truly in a re-build?
