Undrafted Rookie

Our round-up of NFL divisions in the run up to the 2025 season continues with the NFC North. This week however is not like the others. This week we are joined by friend of the pod and Green Bay Packers fan, Jake.

Between the three of us we cover:

• How the Chicago Bears will fare with new Head Coach Ben Johnson.
• Can the Detroit Lions run it back after losing both offensive and defensive coordinators?
• The Green Bay Packers' weird wide receiver room - including recent draft acquisition Matthew Golden from Texas.
• JJ McCarthy's second attempt at a rookie season, but now there's some serious pressure to deliver results (and ideally stay on the field).

With our AFC round-up behind us, we arrive at our NFC round up, beginning with the division that everyone loves to hate - the NFC East.

We're talking...

• Can the Philadelphia Eagles run back their Super Bowl success?
• Can the Dallas Cowboys emerge from their injury-plagued nightmare to be a true contender again?
• Will Jayden Daniels continue to inspire the Washington Commanders to success?
• Will anyone care about the New York Giants this time next year?

Our final division round-up of the AFC. We're looking at each team in the AFC West to try and get a sense of what shape they'll be in for the 2025 NFL season.

We're talking...

• Do the Denver Broncos have the best secondary in the NFL?
• Can Jim Harbaugh continue to lead the Los Angeles Chargers in the right direction?
• Can the Kansas City Chiefs return to being an offensive powerhouse? Will Travis Kelce be a part of that?
• Will the big additions of Pete Carroll, Geno Smith, and Ashton Jeanty, get the Las Vegas Raiders into the playoff discussion.

Which NFL division comes under the microscope this week? That's right, the clue was in the title all along, it's the AFC South. Everyone's (least) favourite division.

This week we're talking...

• Can Indianapolis Colts succeed with Anthony Richardson (or Daniel Jones) or will they be looking to fix their QB spot in 2026.
• Will Liam Coen and Travis Hunter be able to inject some juice into the Jacksonville Jaguars organisation?
• How close are the Texans to a real Super Bowl run? If they can sort the offensive line out then they may be closer than people think.
• We also do remember the Titans. You're welcome.

The second of our divisional overviews for the 2025 NFL season. Last week was the AFC East, this week is the AFC North, who knows what will come next.

This week we're talking...

• The frankly bonkers quarterback situation at the Cleveland Browns where they have four brand new signal callers.
• The Cincinnati Bengals doing very well go get their star WRs paid and are now dragging their feet and failing to pay their defensive guys - even though one of them is a rookie.
• Aaron Rodgers and expectations for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
• + something about Baltimore Ravens

We begin our divisional round up of the NFL for 2025 by looking at the AFC East.

We're talking...

• Can the Buffalo Bills run it back without improving their wide receiver room? Can they get over the hump and finally beat the Chiefs in the playoffs?
• What do we make of the Miami Dolphins in 2025? With Jalen Ramsey apparently heading for the door, can Mike McDaniel and his team recapture the heights of 2023?
• Why is John overdosing on the New York Jets cool-aid? Can Justin Fields really do what Aaron Rodgers couldn't and turn this seemingly doomed franchise into a winning machine?
• The New England Patriots have had, on paper, a really impressive offseason. Can they put it together on the field and become, dare I say, average?

This week we're looking at the players from around the league that we're all secretly rooting for for the upcoming 2025 NFL season.

• Can Christian McCaffrey bounce back and return to the top of the rushing charts?
• Will Louis Rees-Zammit prove himself in training camp and make active roster for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
• Can Xavier Legette live up to his first-round draft grade and emerge as a valuable weapon for the Carolina Panthers
• And... Matthew Stafford, Marcus Davenport, Troy Fautanu, Justin Fields, and more...

This week we are ranking rookies for the upcoming 2025 NFL fantasy season.

It's not a well defined exercise and it doesn't entirely work, but we give it a go.

We're talking...

• How high can you draft Jacksonville Jaguars' Travis Hunter this year?
• How good can Cam Ward be in a limited Titans team?
• Can Tyler Shough be fantasy relevant this year if he holds onto the New Orleans Saints starting job?

Second week in a row we are ranking stuff. This week it's wide receivers and tight ends - for fantasy football of course - for the upcoming NFL season.

We debate...

• Brock Bowers or George Kittle to be TE1?
• How far can Tyreek Hill fall?
• Will Davante Adams' presence in LA impact Puka Nacua's fantasy production?

Lots of questions, no answers.

NFL Fantasy season is almost here (kind of), so we're ranking the top 10 quarterbacks and running backs for you upcoming fantasy drafts.

We're talking...

• Jared Goff or Brock Purdy?
• How good can Bucky Irving really be?
• Is Ashton Jeanty a safe bet?
