Undrafted Rookie

With the NFL still in full off-season mode (sorry NFL combine), we're looking back at the 2024 season and ranking all 32 of the starting quarterbacks.

We debate long over Geno Smith or Brock Purdy, Aaron Rodgers or Kirk Cousins (easy), Bo Nix or CJ Stroud. All vibes-based really but honestly who cares.

It's episode number 100 this week. We only realised this last minute so it's just a normal episode.

This week we're ranking / re-drafting the 2024 NFL draft class. We're not necessarily on the same page with this one and have not entirely understood the assignment. Not necessarily a bad thing in this case.

The Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LIX (59)!

A big day for Paul as his beloved Eagles take the NFL crown. A completely dominant display from the Eagles, where the defense was really the star of the show.

We talk about the game, about staying up late, and also about how Big Dom always seems to know where the cameras are. What more could you want?

No real NFL football this week. You think that's going to stop us? Well it ruddy isn't. We're committed to this cause.

Seeing as it's pro-bowl week we're undertaking a pro-bowl-like exercise (more of an all-pro exercise actually) where we select our NFL Team of the Year. We also give our nominations for the NFL end of season awards.

It's a nice one imo.

The AFC and NFC Conference Championships have been and gone. But not without the requisite drama and controversy.

We're talking about how both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs produced their best performances of the season to book their place in the Super Bowl. We also talk about how over-matched the Washington Commanders were - and hence how well they've done to even get this far. The Buffalo Bills are also mentioned, sadly in an all-too-familiar situation.

This week we're reviewing the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.

That means we're talking about how the Washington Commanders shocked us all by eliminating the number one seed Detroit Lions. We're also talking about the mistakes that cost the Baltimore Ravens against the Buffalo Bills. There were also wins for Kansas City and Philadelphia, which we, of course, also mention.

Next up: Title games!

The NFL playoffs are finally here!

We're talking about how the LA Rams shocked the world by thoroughly dismantling the Minnesota Vikings in Arizona, how the Philadelphia Eagles managed to comfortably beat the Green Bay Packers without really getting out of first gear, and we've also got some coaching updates including the news that Mike Vrabel has taken the job as New England Patriots Head Coach. Busy time!

The NFL regular season is over! Done. Finished. It's the end.

Thankfully before she left she gave us a huge Sunday Night Football match-up between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings.

We're talking about that match-up, how the rest of the play-off slate came to be, as well as discussing all the Black Monday nonsense with multiple teams now looking for new head coaches. What a delight.

This episode is all about the penultimate week of the NFL season. Some of it is also about the ultimate week of the NFL season. Ultimately, it's about the end of the season.

We're talking about how the Washington Commanders came back to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in a huge match-up in the NFC. Speaking of, there's a huge NFC North showdown coming up with the Lions and Vikings going head to head in Week 18 with the No. 1 seed on the line. This is mentioned.

Paul and I recorded a lovely episode about all the festive NFL football we've been enjoying, but mysteriously that recording went missing. This episode explains that a gives a quick run through of what's been going on in the league.
