Amanda Knox, a journalist and public speaker, is best known for her wrongful conviction in the murder case of Meredith Kercher. Alongside her ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, Knox was accused of the crime and sentenced to 26 and 25 years in prison, respectively. After four years behind bars, the Italian court acquitted them in 2011. However, Knox was again convicted in 2014 but was later exonerated by the Supreme Court of Italy.
Despite her traumatic past, Knox has dedicated herself to advocating for criminal justice reform and media ethics. She serves on the board of the Frederick Douglass Project for Justice, where she shares her story to raise awareness about issues within the criminal justice system. Knox's bravery and activism serve as an inspiration and model for others who have experienced similar injustices.
