UNinFORMED Anime

For those about to rock, we hope you like high school melodrama! The guys tackle Beck, a pretty straightforward story of a band performing its final show and then breaking up! Hey, that's actually the plot of That Thing You Do, starring perpetual favorite Tom Hanks. You should definitely watch that movie. It's not anime, but it's still really good.

Series: Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad (2004)Episode: 25

Woof, this one's a downer, huh? I mean, it's probably going to be hard to make jokes about such a serious show. Surely no jokes about stangely timed affairs or ghost children. The guys tackle Your Lie in April, a show that might be about the perils of growing up and the difficulties we face, or it might be a prequel to one of the other shows we've watched.

Series: Shigatsu Wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April) - 2014Episode: 20

Breathe in... and out. In... and out. Close your eyes and relax as the guys tackle Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World, otherwise known as Kino's Journey. A nice palette cleanser of a show where things are perfectly normal and there aren't any magical crystals or gods, just talking motorcycles. Huh. Ok then. Couldn't go one show without something coming out of nowhere.

Series: Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - 2003Episode: 8

Re-roll. Re-roll. Re-roll. Look, you can't start a gacha game without a top tier character, right? The guys tackle Fate/Zero, a part of the apparently massive Fate saga about... sexy historical figures. All I can picture is that sexy dugtrio picture now. You know, the one where he's super buff underground? This is that show.

Series: Fate/Zero - 2012Episode: 14 (Season 2, Episode 1)

Who would win in a fight, Saitama or Papa Smurf? The guys tackle these kinds of questions while watching one of the most popular shows today! It's One Kamehaha Man. I mean One Punch Man, a show about superheroes and a striking parody of shonen anime, kinda.

Series: One Punch Man - 2015Episode: 9

Time for a detour from silly fantasy and into a very realistic depiction of World War I. With a giant ghost Virgin Mary statue. Hm. I feel like maybe that wasn't actually a part of World War I? Did the history book skip over this section? The guys tackle Gosick, an anime that's definitely very serious and not at all about cults and ghosts. Maybe.

Series: Gosick - 2011Episode: 16

Time to fight a musical enemy who is slightly ridiculous and sings while he fights! And it includes destructible clothes... Hm, but only on the incredibly busty woman. Well, Kenichi, you are the mightiest of the disciples, so I'm sure you can come up with something! The guys try to make sense of this fighting anime that hits all the tropes, but does it have as many highs as our older favs? Probably not.

Series: Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple - 2006Episode: 30

The theater! Lights! Camera! Oh wait, this doesn't really have any of that in this episode. After a dramatic fire destroys a beloved theater, our hero travels through time to learn about love and duty. Wait, what? That's not what this was about! But something similar happens in this very dramatic episode that you won't want to miss!

Show: Shouwa Genroku Rakuga Shinju - 2017Episode: 10

Yaaaaarrrrrgggg me hearties. We be settin' off on a pirate adventure searching for treasure in the oddly French themed ocean. Wait, what? There's how many episodes? No that can't be right, that's ridiculous. Oh, and it's still going? Well, this should be an interesting one.

Series: One Piece - 1999Episode: 788
