  • Work Out Your Faith: A Warning to Esau

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

This week, Senior Pastor Heath Bauer has us back in the series, Work Out Your Faith. Have you ever wanted to make a deal for something you just had to have, and afterward regretted it? We all can probably grab a few moments like that. Esau did just that and missed out on the blessing of his birthright. Spiritually, we can do the same. Jesus has given us the opportunity to accept him as Lord of our life, or reject Him. We can inherit the kingdom of God through repentance and faith, or we can miss it and never be a part of it. Once we miss it, there’s no going back.

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

Is your life important? What about others? Are their lives important to you? Today, Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer, helps us see that all life is important in the eyes of the holy God. We definitely live in a culture that minimizes the value of life, and likes to redefine terms to fit opinions. One thing we can rest in knowing is that all life, regardless of opinion, has great value.

  • O Come Let Us Adore Him: It Came Upon a Midnight Clear

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

For the past few weeks we have been in a new sermon series that focuses on what is biblical worship. In today’s message, Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer, opens God’s Word to Luke 2 and gives us three important details that involve worship. When we hear Christmas songs sung during the season, we often times imagine that first Christmas for Mary, Jospeh, and Jesus. We like to think things were quiet, silent, warm, and nothing to worry about. As we see from scripture, things were very challenging and hard. Through it all, a Savior was born!

  • O Come Let Us Adore Him: Symptoms of Mechanical Worship

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

This week Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer, keeps us in the mindset of worship. The beginning of Romans 12 tells us, “12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world,”*

In life, it is really easy to fall into a "mechanical stage." We get so accustomed to doing things in a specific way, it becomes mechanical. It is something we can do almost without thinking about it. What happens when our relationships with other people get that way? Better yet, what happens when our worship gets that way?
