Unity Baptist Church

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

This week Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer, is completing the series, “A Life That Pleases God.” In this series we have been looking at what Faith is. The author of Hebrews defines faith this way, “11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”* In this journey, we have come to see it is impossible to please God without faith. Hebrews 11 gives us the physical picture of what faith is and how individuals walked by faith in all circumstances. Faith provides the stamina for endurance in all things. Today, we close out in Hebrews 12.

This week Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer, is walking us through the series, “A Life That Pleases God.” In this series we have been looking at what Faith is. The author of Hebrews defines faith this way, “11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”* So far, we have seen different types of individuals who displayed remarkable faith in God. Each person’s faith was on display in very different circumstances, and it was their faith in God that redeemed them. As we near the end of this series we see that faith is like a race of endurance. How is your faith enduring?

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

In this weeks episode, Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer is in the series, “A Life That Pleases God.” As we work our way through Hebrews 11, we see examples of those who demonstrated what faith is. First, Let’s define faith. “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1, NLT) What do you think about when you hear the word obedience? A very common theme we find throughout Scripture is being faithful to obey, through faith. What is keeping you from being obedient to Christ today?

First, Let’s define faith. “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1, NLT) The trials, or hard times, we have in life tend to push us to hide from them and avoid them. Did you know, God allows us to walk through difficult times in order to help us grow in our faith? If you are in a trial, or about to face one, remember God is greater than any trial you face. He will always walk through it with you, and you will be stronger in your faith because of it.
