Unity Baptist Church

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

In this weeks episode, Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer is in the series, “A Life That Pleases God.” As we work our way through Hebrews 11, we see examples of those who demonstrated what faith is. First, Let’s define faith. “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1, NLT) There is a song we sing with our kids called “This Little Light of Mine.” It is a great picture of what a person of faith does, they let their light shine! If you are a person of faith, how are you letting your light shine?

It’s possible to just be a religious person and not live by faith. To finish a marathon race, a competitor has to train and build endurance in order finish well. Is your faith fit to finish the race?

William Borden set his faith on Christ so much, he was willing to sacrifice the American dream. He wrote three things in his Bible: No Reserves, No Retreats, No Regrets. How are you living the life of Faith?

The fear of what others think about us has a greater grip on us than we think. Like a meteorologist, we forecast the negative things that could happen instead of walking by faith.

What is faith? “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1, NLT) Faith is like a relay race. You run the race, but you also run the race with someone. How well you finish the race depends on how well you run with your team. How well are you running?

Welcome to the Unity Baptist Church sermon podcast!

In this weeks episode, Senior Pastor, Heath Bauer continues in the series, “A Life That Pleases God.” Have you ever wondered why it’s so hard to wait? Isaiah 40:30-31 says, “30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; 31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” {Isaiah 40:30–31 (ESV)} Does having faith in Christ help the wait?
