If you want to be prepared for Christ’s return, then you must prepare yourself through faithfulness. This morning, as we break the parable of the Watchful Servants into three sections, I want to remind you that as a disciple of Christ, you must remain faithful.

We must avoid the tyranny of “stuff,” because what people own will not supply true peace and joy. True riches and satisfaction comes only from God. That’s why this morning we’re going to look at the parable of the rich fool and as we do, I want to break the story into three sections in an effort to show you what’s most important in life.

This morning as we look closer at this parable, I want you to look with me at three aspects of the story in order to see how this is an example that you must follow and with whom you currently identify.

This morning, as we consider Simeon’s involvement in the birth and infancy of Jesus, there are three aspects to the story that will give us reason to rejoice.

This evening, I want you to find four incidents that would cause Mary to stop and take in all of the blessing God was bestowing on her.

This morning, I want you to find in our text three reasons why we rejoice in a God who brings peace.

As we continue examining her psalm of worship, I want you to learn and follow the example that Mary gives us here in the text. Mary shows us that we are to recognize that we rejoice in a God who surprises. Therefore, this morning, I want you to find in Mary’s psalm, known also as the “Magnificat,” three decisions by God that reflect an element of surprise as you also rejoice in a God who surprises.

This morning, as we consider Luke 1:5-17, I want you to learn how God responds to your prayers based on how God responded to the prayers of Zechariah.

This morning, I want you to see what it means to Pray with Confidence, to bring your requests to God, according to His will.

Can you say that this morning? Do you know you’re saved? Can you say with certainty that you know that you have eternal life and will go to heaven when you die? This morning I want you to be sure. I want to share with you what John is telling us in this text so you can be certain that you are saved.
