This brings us to the point I want you to see through all of this. Friends, don’t cast away your confidence, instead, maintain your confidence in Christ. Here, in the last part of chapter 10, the writer gives us three strong reasons why you should maintain your confidence in Jesus Christ.

The author proceeds to give an exhortation to his readers. You see, the first readers of the book of Hebrews were Jewish believers who were in danger of deserting their faith and reverting to the old system of law. The author was challenging them to be found faithful to their faith in Jesus Christ. That challenge is now given to us as well.

This morning, I want us to look at Hebrews 9:23-28, and as we examine these verses, I want you to discover that we are given three specific appearances of Christ in God’s Word. The reason I want you to discover these is so you are prepared to meet Jesus.

Today, as we’re looking at better things, I want to focus our attention on the New Covenant. You see, the New Covenant, which was established by Jesus, is “better” than the Old Covenant, and this morning I will give you three reasons why that is.

This morning, in our passage of Scripture, Hebrews 7:1-10, the author is revealing the superiority of Jesus as our great high priest over the Levitical priesthood. He does that by presenting his argument to establish the superior priesthood of Jesus Christ in verses 1-3. Then in verses 4-10, he proves his argument.

So as we look at verses 13-20 of chapter 6 in the letter to the Hebrews, I want to share with you three tremendous truths about the believer’s hope.
