You don’t have to be a veteran believer to get involved in this. If you are someone who is a new believer this is a great way to start your relationship off with Christ, fasting from things that are taking priority over your life instead of spending time with him and in the word.. Asking for clarity and guidance, wisdom and discernment where needed.

Praying for or over our children does not need to be complicated. It's as simple as applying their names into scriptures as you read them in prayer. Laying hands on your children, praying with them, for them, are all important. Rather you are a Mom/Dad, Aunt/Uncle, Mentor, Guardian it is our privilege to pray for our children and future children. If we stand firm and believe in God's word we will believe the prayers we pray will not return void,  that speaking out the truth will have the power to accomplish its purpose.

Ephesians 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” which is the first commandment with a promise “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.

Samson's mother is in the list of biblical women who don't have children, but yet GOD still used her, and fulfilled his promises over her life. Samson’s mother was yet another woman of faith, she listened to and followed God’s instructions regarding the upbringing of her son. Our sacrifices for others are an expression of our love for them.

Through prayer in praying for yourself or asking someone to pray for you, there are absolute benefits that come from authentic self prayer. There are times when we go into prayer for direction that God will immediately answer us, sometimes it's a small clue to go forward, or sometimes it's a broader aspect. Doubt can set in, because you think that some of the things he asks of you is impossible, but you have to remember nothing is impossible to our God nor with him.
