What this man turned out to be, and what he proceeded to do to me is simply out of a horror story. But swooping in to safe the day was dear Cathrine. The Posh Angel. The Violent Londoner.

Becoming part of the gay scene in the 70s! What a joyous laugh it was! Auto tellers in the bus station bathroom? Hmm… sounds shady! But what do we know? We’ve now got an extra 5 quid for swally! Sneaking into an orgy in the southside of Glasgow! What a night, but nothing phased us. Being involved in the gay scene was such a great time in my life, the more outrageous you were the more it was accepted. Lot's of fun!

In episode four of season one, we continue to dive deeper and deeper into how trauma caused me to wreck havoc on my own life. And through my own hands, I continued to spiral. Dealing with topics such as suicide, STI's, and boozing we discuss how all of these events link back to the original trauma. Rejection from my parents. This episode does come with a viewer discretion, as I speak about my own attempts on suicide. This isn't for the faint of heart. But now, at 67 years of age, I'm ready to be Unmuzzled.

In the third episode of season one, I get into some of the teenage rebellion stages of my life. Sneaking drink up to my room while being grounded. Getting a hippie boyfriend! Dogging school... and most intensely... selling drugs! The fall out of all this began with an overheard conversation between my parents, discussed in episode 2. The founding trauma that completely changed my life, for the... worse? For the different?

We'll continue to build on this trauma in episodes to come, and where it ends up taking me in my life. But now, I'm ready to discuss it, warts in all. Becoming Unmuzzled at 67.

In the second episode of season 1 I get into the nitty gritty on trauma, understanding what trauma means, and where I began to notice traumatic experiences in my life. See up until very recently I had no idea what trauma really was. And how, secretly, under the surface... I was racked with it. It's never fun admiting to yourself that you've experienced traumatic events that still haunt you. But it's absolutely necessary. 

In this episode, an overheard conversation absolutely rocks my world. Sucking the wind right out of my sails, leaving me stuck in the middle of the ocean. Alone... Following this I completely changed my perspective on life, and being gallus and thrill seeking was my new bag. All of this resulting in me being called a "Prick tease!". Finding myself in more and more dangerous scenarios became common place. But now, with experience and hindsight, I can digest and understand these stories in my life that brought me trauma. So come along, listen if you like. I'm ready to be Unmuzzled at 67.

The first instalment of a three part series, on my life. It's troubles. My mistakes. And most importantly, my honest review uncovering and rehashing old memories.  The quick benefits of my meditation journey. Followed by the quick recovering of past traumas in early teen life and adulthood. The shocking realisation of memories forgotten, and the vivid images that these events conjured in my mind. Also covering, in this first episode my fist ever experience, and an early one at that, of being on my periods. How do you even comprehend what’s going on when you’re so young! Only way to explain to yourself is… I’m dying!

There's a first for everything, and this is certainly a first. What other pensioner gets up in front of a mic and camera and bleeds their heart for all to see? We'll, I'll take the plunge, I'll frontier the line for elderly folk, to speak their mind about past trauma and move past their hurt. In fact I'll help lead the line for anyone that's in a situation like that.
