Well ladies, it's summertime and you know what that means- Check in with your mom friends, we are not okay.

All jokes aside, summer is a fantastic time to spend QT with your kiddos, and make lasting memories. It doesn't hurt to be prepared and set yourself up for getting out the door fast, so in this somewhat late episode of Unpack and Play, Jackie and Jessie talk about summer hacks and some ideas to keep kids entertained.

In today's episode, Jackie and Jessie finally discuss First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston. This was a quick read that kept us captivated. We both gave this book 4/5 stars (although who knows if we are reliable critics - we are very easily swayed).

But really this was a great read that made us question whether or not your name is essential to your identity, and what lengths would you go to to help someone you love?

In this one, we commiserate with all of those who are struggling with sleep. Both Jackie and Jessie have had issues with all of their kids sleep, and we talk about the different methods we have used, what has worked and what hasn't.

To highlight-what works for neither of us is the shame surrounding the topic of sleep. What you do to keep your sanity, or what works best for your family (assuming that it's safe for the child in question) is what works. This might be totally different from what your neighbor, bestie, or interwebs professionals say to do but that's OK. We see you, we feel your pain. Jackie and Jessie are joined by Heather, a super mom to two boys. Her first son Camden started displaying signs of disease the day he was born. After almost two years of tests, P.T, and feeding tubes- Heather finally got the diagnosis of Charcot Marie Tooth Disease. Camden's mutation of this disease is ultra rare, and he is one of only three known cases in the world.
