the Kid will be eighteen. Ballons will arrive in a couple of hours and tomorrow I’ll pickup her birthday cake. Her sister will be home for college break…..cue in the shenanigans. They’ll have much needed sister time ( well especially for the kid lol ). It’s gonna be a good few days. K bye! 

So the Kid turns 18 in two days and my supervisor sent her gifts. We all know what it means to get gifts for any occasion, but for the Kid this is new. She’s now part of a family that has traditions and does gifts. There’s no age limit, no cutoffs. So she’s getting excited and I’m excited for her. Bring on the gifts! K bye!!

Yes ma’am!!!! This child thought a sore throat and no voice ( barely ) meant she can marathon sleep today…..nope. Lol! She went, she’s back and she’ll be ok. I got work….k bye! 

It’s Election Day and I hope you rocked the vote. Let’s be clear a non vote is a vote. Laws are changing and rights are being stripped away. If you feel one vote can’t change anything you’re sadly mistaken. But a non vote changes a lot. Let that marinate in your brain. K bye! #govote

It’s late, 12:56am and in hours back to school for the Kid. She’s as ready as she’s going to be. She put her bag together, I ironed her shirt & pants and set my alarm for 7am. It’s her senior year and it’s not the start she wanted, but it’s the one she created. Now let me go to bed and get some sleep. Later y’all! 

This is EXHAUSTING!!! How many times must I see, hear or witness my own coming for my own?  I don’t like repeating anything, but this I will. Y’all keep acting like we’re a united front…..we aren’t. Y’all keep saying let’s support black owned businesses….y'all don’t unless you get a discount or freebie. Why is it so easy to look the other way towards your own but ok for those that DGAFAYBA???  #isaidwhatisaid 

Look if you don’t know I’m equal opportunity. I come for all but especially my own people. Yeah, y’all not exempt and Black women especially make me wanna scream. Mainly when it comes to our hair.  How do you even form outlandish comments regarding natural hair towards children? We still in this natural hair fight and y’all out here leaving comments on anothers hair more specifically beautiful black girls. Stop and look in your mirror because it’s that person causing you pain. Sheesh, y’all exhausting. 

We’re in senior year and she’s not on course for graduation on paper. So it’s testing time. When you play follow the leader this is what happens. Since I’ve known this child I’ve always stressed stop following others. The result of that is you will either get left behind or have to play catchup. Pray for my sanity, but I won’t let her fall.
