Dan Savage pitched us a great idea about creating a campaign to take back the Supreme Court seat the Republicans stole from President Obama's nominee Merrick Garland. With the late-breaking news that conservative Supreme Court Justice, and swing vote, Anthony Kennedy may step down this summer, this campaign couldn't be more timely.

The campaign would be called OnlyMerrick.com. Cliff and I loved it, and OnlyMerrick was born. We've set up a petition calling on Democrats in the US Senate confirm no nominee to the Supreme Court other than Merrick Garland for the remainder of Trump's term. The stench of corruption -- one might even call it a swamp -- grows by the day. (We also talk about Trump's insane claim that a trade war would be good for America -- it wouldn't.) Even by Trumpian standards, it's a day of chaos in the Trump White House. Trump started the day by attacking Attorney General Jeff Sessions. But unlike previous public humiliations, Jeremy spoke in class today and Sessions struck back, publicly. At the same time, lots of Trump-Russia updates with the Mueller probe closing in on Trump's business finances, while Jared finds himself up Trump-creek without a security clearance.
