In this episode, we explore "pre-dedicated" studying for the USMLE Step 1 exam. This is a challenging but important part of preparation for Step 1. When should you start? How should you study? How do you balance GER with studying for Step 1? What is a CBSE? How many times can I visit Dr. Pandya before she gets sick of me? To answer these questions, we pick the brain of our co-host, Robbie Daulton, an M3 at UCCOM.
Resources: Click here for a customizable schedule for Step 1 studying in both pre-dedicated and dedicated periods. Popular study resources with section checklists are included as separate tabs. Dates of UCCoM exams and other important events have already been populated into the schedule. Enjoy!
Cleanup: NBME practice exams cost $60, not $20 as stated. The Class of 2020’s final Step 1 average was 241, not 242 (a preliminary value). Still incredible, though!
