3681 Greg Savitt (Doubt, Jewish, Ministry, Hope) Growing up Jewish, Greg was proud and protective of his heritage and beliefs. But when they started leaving questions unanswered and Jesus started making more sense as the awaited Messiah, Greg started to question who was right. After researching and learning, Greg couldn’t deny Jesus existed, but who was he? Who would he be to him? Receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, Greg discovered his heart was in outreach, and he has worked in ministries evangelizing Jewish communities since.

3680 Bernard Bud Rauschenberger (Alcoholism, Debt, Hopelessness) As a child, Bud’s family only attended church on Christmas and Easter. He watched neighbors spend as much time at church as they did at the bar, and he doubted church was a transformative place. At fourteen, he and his best friend tried to make beer at home, and though that didn’t work out, he started a decades-long addiction to alcohol and cigarettes. Marrying and starting a family with his high school sweetheart, Nolene, didn’t change things. They just brought the kids to the bar with them. It wasn’t until Bud’s sister, Sally, invited him to her Bible study that his heart shifted. He gave His life to Jesus and got clean. He pursued restitution for the many debts he owed and started doing ministry work.

Then his cousin and closest friend is killed in combat, and he struggles to understand how a loving God can allow suffering. While serving in the military, Robert is led on a journey of deepening His faith in God. He eventually attends Bible College and becomes a pastor until his health forces him to retire, still trusting in God’s love.

3678 Cecelia Cotlan (PG) (Infidelity, Alcoholism, Depression, Suicidal) From an early age, Cecelia made apologies for her wrong doings, but she never changed her willful behaviors. From her promiscuity in high school to her infidelities in marriage, Cecelia’s desires continually got her into trouble. She sincerely wanted to change but couldn’t find the answers she needed until she happened upon a different kind of power, a divine power, that would give her the strength to overcome it all.

She was sent to the witch doctor to help with her medical concerns. When her twin sisters were born, her family turned their attention away from her and her dad grew abusive. This drove her to depression and suicidal thoughts. She resorted to drinking and lying; anything to stay away from home. She was trapped in a series of aimless jobs, until one day when she heard the Gospel message through UNSHACKLED!. She came to faith in Christ and joined the missionary team at her church.
