Happy Birthday, Kayden! 🎉
This weekend feels like the perfect time to share your story with the world.
Some stories remind us that our greatest challenges don't define us. They shape us.
In this episode of Unshaken Voices, Kayden O'Connor shares his journey through childhood grief, bullying, living as a neurodivergent young adult with autism and ADHD, discovering confidence through theater, leaning on faith, and learning to embrace who he was created to be.
His message is simple, yet incredibly powerful:
"Don't be afraid to be unapologetically yourself."
On his birthday weekend, we're honored to celebrate not only another year of life, but the courage it takes to share a story that has the power to encourage others who may be struggling to find where they belong.
If this conversation encourages you, please like, subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that different does not mean less.

When a butterfly feels like heaven saying hello. After Kayden O’Connor lost his sister Lydia, his family began associating butterflies with her. In this moment from Unshaken Voices, Kayden shares a childhood memory of being in his grandmother’s backyard, splashing in a kiddie pool, when a huge butterfly landed on his knee and stayed there for 10 to 15 minutes. As a little boy, he had a full conversation with that butterfly as if it were Lydia. Sometimes grief gives us memories that never leave. Sometimes love shows up softly. Sometimes a butterfly feels like more than a butterfly.
