After some bumpy ceremonies in recent years, the 97th Academy Awards was actually fairly muted. Still, there were eyebrow-raising moments to spark people’s interest. Comedy-drama about a young sex worker ‘Anora’ won Best Picture as the lead Mikey Madison ‘honoured’ the sex worker community, and host Conan O’Brien took a swipe at trans actress Karla Sofía Gascón’s past controversial social media posts.
