The high court sitting in Palm Ridge, on Gauteng's East Rand, has found 22-year-old self-confessed sex worker murderer, Sifiso Mkhwanazi guilty of the murder and rape of 6 sex workers. Mkhwanazi was arrested and admitted to killing the sex workers and hiding their bodies in his father's workshop in Johannesburg between April and October 2022. During Mkhwanazi's trial, the defense argued that he and the women engaged in consensual sex, alleging that he only murdered the sex workers in fear, after a disagreement over payment. Here is what Judge Cassim Moosa had to say when delivering his judgement.
