Armscor, has assembled a team of "cyber experts" to analyse the extent of a breach of its computer systems. This comes after sensitive tender information was stolen from its computers. Armsco's computers system was hacked by hacktivist group, Anonymous. It is understood that 63 megabytes of secret information was leaked. To help us look at the motivations behind these hacking, we are joined on the line by Cyber security expert at Cyanre, Danny Myburgh.

Some of the 62 candidates nominated for the position of public protector, have charges ranging from rape to having links to the Gupta family. This follows a vetting exercise that was conducted by Corruption Watch and the Democratic Governance and Rights Unit (DGRU), to help establish the suitability of these nominees. The list of the candidates is with the parliamentary ad hoc committee responsible for overseeing the selection of the next public protector. A Zimbabwean preacher leading protests against President Robert Mugabe has been charged with inciting public violence. In a video recorded before his arrest, Baptist minister Evan Mawarire urged supporters to go ahead with demonstrations planned for today and tomorrow, (Wednesday and Thursday) as part of the 'hashtag-ThisFlag' movement, against alleged corruption, ailing economy and rights abuses. Last Friday police summoned and arrested the spokesperson for Tajamuka-Sesijikile Campaignon on charges of public violence. Promise Mkwananzi was later released on bail. Election campaigns are heating up - going to the most rural parts of the country. Political parties in the Khai-Ma Local Municipality in the Namakwa region are pulling out all the stops - to capture the hearts and minds of communities for the upcoming local government elections. It is often not an easy job as locals demand answers and express unhappiness over the lack of proper housing, eletricity and unemployment. As part of election features, our reporter Neo Bodumela visited Namakwa in the Khai-Ma local municipality in the Northern Cape and filed this report.
