This comes after the arrest of a 28 year-old woman while allegedly trying to sell a 12-year-old boy with albinism to a traditional healer for 100 thousand rand at Manguzi in the northern part of the province. In August last year, a 21 year-old woman with albinism Thandazile Mpunzi was murdered for her body parts. Her three murderers - who are currently serving 18 to 20 years imprisonment - admitted in court they procured her body parts for muthi purposes in order to get rich.
