Transnet has disputed Botswana media reports in that it has sold second-hand passenger trains to the Botswana Railways. Comair is confident that strike by 4-hundred members of the Trade Union UASA won't affect its operations. The strike is about salary disputes following the two parties unable to reach an agreement even after the CCMA's intervention. A Three-year-old child born to a South African woman imprisoned in Mozambique for drug related crimes, has been repatriated to South Africa. This child accompanied by social workers from the Department of Social Development arrived at the O.R Tambo international airport. According to the Department, the child's mother wrote to the Department requesting that the child be repatriated to South Africa for placement in foster care with his extended family.
