They discuss the differences between the American free market-based capitalist economic system that limits trends like unions, wealth redistribution, or over-dependence on welfare, and compares it to the highly regulated systems of professional sports leagues (mainly the National Basketball Association) that incentivize competitive balance so that there is more fairness across these leagues, as to give teams a chance to win and court free agents.
