How much love do you think a rock can store beneath it?
In today's episode, I'm joined by the amazingly creative and compassionate Deborah DeLisi. She is the mother of two daughters, one in heaven and one on earth, and the founder of The Abundant Love Project, a worldwide movement that started when she realized she could transform her grief into love. Debora also authored two books about grief, "Lifequakes: The Journey Through Loss and Grief," and "I Will Find You Everywhere: A story of love, loss and learning to live again."
Throughout this episode, Deborah talks about the loss of her 29-year-old daughter Katie and how the long walks crying and looking down to avoid eye contact inspired her to create The Abundant Love Project. We talk about how grief can turn into love, why most grievers feel they don't "deserve" to be happy again, and how bringing happiness to others can make us feel good again.
Additionally, we talk about how The Abundant Love Project's stones find people, and not the other way around, the importance of finding (or creating) our own tribe of grievers, and much more.
Tune in and listen to episode 124 of Grief and Happiness to hear more about how compassion, empathy, and creativity can transform grief into love.
