The artist GO GANG is a street dancer, performer, and videographer. For his interesting shows, he often creates entire stages and also the music. We met him at the headquarters of the URBANSTRIKERS, his collective with which he regularly carries out creative projects. Also he is part of the crews BAD GENERATION, NODAK, and DDD. In an interview, he tells us about his difficult path to artistic development and his love of dancing. In a rather conservative country, it is not easy for artists to break new ground. The musician BOBIN from Jeonju plays bass in various bands and has an incredible voice. She is a true natural talent, because without any musical training, she was thrown in by the musician YOU HEON SEOK, who immediately recognized her potential. She quickly became a permanent member of his blues band, also the BAND MUA, and the FNL BAND. After learning to play the bass within a few days, she now performs than 100 concerts a year, many of them also in Seoul and other cities around the country. Aktuell findet die Ausstellung „Fly, Fly, Fly Away“ von der Malerin CORINNA MAYER im TRASHLAND aka KUNSTLABOR KRONBERG statt und bis zum 20. Februar kann man dort ihre faszinierenden Ölgemälde bewundern. Am 7. Feburar hatte uns die Künstlerin im Studio besucht und wir haben uns über ihre leuchtenden Portraits unterhalten, über ihre vielen Projekte zu Zeichnung, Installation, Gesang und Performance, und über Ausstellungsorte wie den Kunstverein Offenbach, Perpétuel, das Montez, die Kunsthalle Darmstadt oder ihr Studio im Atelier Frankfurt. The magnificent KUMANOVO GRAFFITI FEST festival has been taking place in the Macedonian city of Kumanovo since 2017, organized annually by the FORMA KUMANOVO crew. We spoke to team member and artist SKIDAR in an interview about his fantastic murals, the crew, and the great festival, how it came about and how it has developed into one of the most important urban art events in the Balkans. Am 6. Februar startet die zweite Spielzeit der JUNGEN THEATERWERKSTATT AM ZOO mit der Premiere zu "Center of the Universe" und weiteren sechs koproduzierten Uraufführungen unter dem Motto „a better place". Das Projekt vom Mousonturm, dem Theater Gruene Sosse und dem Paradiesvogel e.V. beschäftigt sich mit Zusammenleben, Selbstermächtigung und Zukunftsvorstellungen junger Menschen. Am 24. Januar hatten wir die Künstlerische Leiterin LILJAN HALFEN und den Kurator für Vermittlung und Partizipation OSSIAN HAIN zu Gast in der Sendung. The Korean artist KIM SEOBANG has a deep connection to architecture, but also a passion for painting and visual design. Meanwhile he combines these fields in a fascinating new way of his individual expression. He began his career studying architecture, but something was missing: painting. He has since found a middle ground, merging the two spheres and creating fantastic architectural artworks, mostly in painting form, but also sculptural and photographic. KIM SEOBANG has lived in many places for extended periods, including Chicago, USA and Milan, Italy, cities with vastly different architectural styles. All of this has profoundly influenced him, providing him with inspiration and impressions. Back in Seoul, he then encountered the awesome URBAN STRIKERS, a remarkable and important collective of creative individuals from all disciplines.
