With today’s technology we are more connected than ever before and yet, it has been reported that social isolation is a growing epidemic in the United States. The number of Americans with no close friends has tripled since 1985, and more Americans are living alone, particularly people over 60. As it turns out, we can have hundreds of “friends” on social media without having any meaningful relationships. Val Walker talks about how we can break through our isolation and build community.
