Stephen Hunt is the Chief Development Officer for Valley Regional Transit. He came into the studio to talk about the budget issues and decisions that Nampa is grappling with as they pertain to ridership, cost, overall benefit, and long term goals with public transportation within the Treasure Valley and Nampa. Nampa is currently on the cusp of cutting the VRT budget, which would remove some long distance bus routes but also some more localized services. Enjoy!

It’s also home to many law enforcement agencies, like Ada County and Canyon county Sheriff offices, Idaho State Police, Eagle Police Department, Meridian Police Department, and many more. The school systems in the area are also quite diverse. Boise school district and West Ada School District, though right next to each other, are quite different. Ada County is also home to our state capital and many of our elected officials.
