Sunday Evening, November 3rd, 2019 - Ready For Use - Pastor Jared Shumate

What do a deer, a coyote, and a turkey have in common? Sounds like a silly question doesn't it? But Pastor Jared used these three animals in an illustration during tonight's sermon, Ready For Use.

As Jesus and His Disciples came near the city of Jerusalem He sent some men ahead to retrieve a donkey. That donkey was there for one reason, and one reason only. It was ready for Jesus at an appointed time. It was ready to serve.

Are you ready to serve Him? If you want to be used by God, you must be more like that donkey. We have a lot more in common with that donkey than we think.

Sunday Morning, November 3rd, 2019 - God's Response to Crisis - Pastor Jared Shumate

When crisis comes your way, how do you respond? There's a fight or flight response when the human body is presented with outside stresses. Are you the type to plant your heels and dig in and take whatever comes your way head on? Or are you more passive or timid about it, worrying and allowing anxiety and fear to overtake you? Maybe you take it one step further and question God, or even blame Him.

But have you ever stopped to think about how God responds to crisis? God does not worry, He does not fear, He never gets overwhelmed, and He never thinks things are impossible. He created us so He knows how we feel.

Take comfort in how God Responds to Crisis.

Sunday Morning, October 27th, 2019 - He Will Trade You - Pastor Jared Shumate

Did you ever trade toys or sports cards as a kid? Maybe it was baseball cards, or Pokemon cards, or maybe it was just hot wheel cars or some other toy. But If you've ever traded items you know that you have to give something up in order to receive that which is being offered.

Have you ever stopped to think what it was that Jesus ave up when He traded for you? He offered up His comfortable life for this earth. He offered up the riches in Heaven for your soul. He gave it all for you. He's making you an offer, but are you willing to give up a little on your end and accept the trade?
