Two times in the Bible we see Jesus weeping. In Luke we see him weeping for Jerusalem as He overlooked the city before His crucifixion.

But in John we see the shortest verse in all the Bible. John 11:35 says just two words; Jesus wept. There have been a lot of debate over this verse. Religious and Biblical experts theorize over why it was that Jesus wept that day. The Bible doesn't tell us why, but there are a few logical assumptions we can make from those two words.

In the book of Matthew we see Jesus talking with His disciples about His ministry. He was hearing the end of His appointed time on Earth. They had gathered for the Passover Feast and no doubt there was much sadness among the Disciples.

But Jesus explained to them that the best is yet to come!

Are you going through a difficult time in your life? Maybe things aren't looking so good for you right now. Maybe you're down and depressed. Lift your head dear Christian! For the best is yet to come!
