This morning we were privileged to have Bro. Luke Kidwell with us to preach the morning service while Pastor Justin is on vacation.

In his message, we examined what happens when the Holy Spirit comes to church. If you are a saved Christian, the Holy Spirit lives inside your heart, so It already accompanies you wherever you go. But what would happen if we get out of the way, especially at church, and just let the Holy Spirit fill us and our church?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you could read minds? Sounds kind of exciting to some people. But what if someone else was able to read your own thoughts? Every bad and ugly thought that you have, laid bare before others. Now that's a scary thought!

But there is someone who knows exactly that. God knows each and every thing you ever think about. And that should be humbling.

But what can we do about this battle? Tonight Bro. Mike Meade showed us how we can win the Battle of the Mind.

Aaron laid on his deathbed atop Mount Hor. God told Mosses to take Aaron's son, Eleazar, up the mountain and strip him of his garments. They took the garments from Aaron (the coat, the robe, the ephod, the breastplate, the mitre, and the crown) and placed them upon Eleazar. He literally passed along his faith to his son.

We live in a world today where children rule the roost. Parents are more interested in being friends rather than parents. We let the children be independent and make their own decisions and we fail to lead them.

In Aaron we see a call for parents to pass along generational faith to our children. In Eleazar we see a call for children to accept that which is being passed along to them.

Parents - lead your children. The world has its teeth in them. It's up to us as parents to show them how to love the Lord and live for Him.

Children - accept that which is being passed along to you, and hold up your end of the exchange!

When Jacob first saw Rachel, it was love at first sight. His heart leaped in his chest and he knew he wanted to marry that girl. But her father, Laban, tricked Jacob and tried to get him to marry his oldest daughter, Leah, instead because that was custom. But Jacob refused to settle for anything less than the best; Rachel. He served 14 years as a servant for Laban all so he could win her hand in marriage.

Jacob refused to settle for anything less than the best. What a shame it is that we as Christians settle for less than the best each and every day. Instead of going deeper in our relation and passion for God, we settle for less. We will never experience the life God has for us if we settle for less than the best.
