  • Stirred Up or Changed?
Many people came out of our revival touched. Some were gloriously saved. Others rededicated their lives. Even others experienced a truly revived heart and spirit. But, were they stirred up, or truly changed?
There was a man in the Bible who waited to the waters to move at the pool of Bethesda. But he didn't really want to just be stirred up, he wanted to be changed! There were a lot of people there waiting for the waters to move, but only one was changed. Jesus encountered him and healed him, receiving the change he was after.
Were you stirred up by revival? Were the flames of your heart fanned? Don't let it be a temporary stirring of the spirit. Let it be life-changing! Maybe you're asking, how can I do that? We pray this sermon shows you what you can do to be truly changed.

  • The Day Revival Died
Our church is coming out of a wonderful week of Revival in which we saw 13 saved and countless other hearts changed and lives touched by the preaching. Our parking lots were completely full and overflowing. There were no empty seats in the building. But even though the meetings ended Wednesday, what can we do to keep the fire of being extinguished? You better believe that the Devil is going to try and throw bucket upon bucket of water on our revival flame.
So what happens when revival dies? What are the contributing factors? This morning we examine the house of the prodigal son to see what happened on The Day Revival Died.
There were two sons in that house, and all it took was the attitude of the older brother to essentially kill the spirit within the house that day.
Are you going to be the one that Satan uses to kill the spirit of revival in your home? Learn what kills the revival and how to guard yourself against it!

  • David's Praise
The Bible calls David a man after God's own Heart. But have you ever wondered what it was about David that earned him that nickname? Was it his obedience? Or maybe his love of God? Perhaps it was willingness to stand up for God? Though the Bible doesn't clearly say what it was about David that earned him that title, we can surely agree that his praise and worship of the Lord contributed it.
In 2 Samuel we see David moving the Ark of the Covenant out of the house of Obed-edom to take it to the heart of the city. But they only traveled 6 steps before they had to stop, build and altar, and praise God! David danced and shouted, they offered a sacrifice, and they played the trumpets. But why? After only 6 steps?! Because David didn't want to walk even 6 steps without praising God for taking those steps with him!
What about you? Are you worshiping and praising God like David? Are you letting something stop you from doing so? Maybe there's someone stopping you, or sin preventing you, or even a situation that limits your worship.
May we all learn from David and worship and praise our marvelous God! He surely deserves it for all He has done for us!

  • The Great White Throne
Tonight Bro. CT led us through an examination of the Great White Throne Judgement in Revelation 20. Our three parking lots were completely full with people parking in the streets. We had to get overflow for our overflow chairs. People were sitting in the vestibule, on the front porch, and even standing. The altar was packed full to the point that many weren't even able to make it down the aisles and many souls were saved! God moved in a mighty way with us tonight and we pray this message does the same for you.
There is coming a day when we will stand before God at this judgement and face our accusations. Our excuses will fall upon deaf ears. There is no argument. We are all guilty. We will face every deed. Every sin. Every failure. There will be no mistakes in that day and no mistrials. We will stand before God and give an account to Him of all that we did for Jesus in our life.
Do you know, 100% beyond the shadow a doubt, that you are saved? When you stand before that Great White Throne, what will the verdict be on your soul? We pray that this message speaks to your heart in some way and that you find peace.

  • The Calling of Jonah
Tonight we kicked off our 2017 Fall Revival with Bro. CT Townsend with a soul-searching message about following God's Will for our lives.
Jonah had a calling on his life, but he thought he could run from the presence of God and ignore what He wanted him to do. You're probably familiar with the story. God clearly told Jonah to go to Nineveh, but be boarded a boat to go the other way, to Tarshish. He never made it. Instead God sent a storm and Jonah was tossed overboard, only to be swallowed by a great fish, returned to home, and given another chance.
Jonah had a calling on his life, but his choice to ignore it cost him dearly. There, in the belly of the fish, he called out to God, and Jonah 2:2 says that God heard his prayer from inside the fish, somewhere in the ocean.
Are you running from God's calling on your life? Has He given you talents that are you not using for His Glory? Whatever your situation, obey the Lord and answer the calling...

  • Wanting More
Moses stood upon the mountain, conversing with the God of Heaven Himself, while the Israelites reverted back to their Egyptian ways and began worshiping false idols. God's anger was great and He wanted to destroy them all and give Moses a new people. But Moses prayed to God on behalf of the people. And God changed His mind.
But Moses wasn't finished praying. He sought after God in a deep and mighty way. But what, exactly, was his prayer? He wanted to know God. He wanted to be in His presence. And he wanted to see and experience God's Glory.
As we enter into a series of revival meetings this week, we can model our own prayers after those of Moses to truly experience Revival in our hearts this week.

  • Four Keys to See the Fire Fall
The book of 1 Kings recalls a story about Elijah who challenged the prophets of Baal to call down fire from Heaven to consume a sacrifice. Elijah knew that Baal was a false god and had no power to send down fire to consume the sacrifice. Not only was he confident, but he even mocked the prophets in their failure. But before Elijah could step up and confidently call down the fire from Heaven, there had to be some preparation on his part beforehand.
This week our church is hosting a series of revival meetings with Bro. CT Townsend. We call it a Fall Revival. But, true revival isn't a series of meetings; it's a stirring of a fire within our hearts that only God can provide. But, before we can experience true revival, there must be some preparation on our part beforehand.
There are lessons to be learned from Elijah's preparation that apply directly to us today as we prepare to see the fire fall.
