Tonight we had a visiting preacher, Bro. Daniel Church from North Carolina, with us for our evening services. Bro. Daniel lead us to examine John the Baptist at a time when things weren't going well for him. He thought he had been forgotten about and left to die and rot in a prison. But the Bible tells us to not let our hearts be troubled.

Sometimes it's hard to understand what's going on in your life. There are times when we just can't believe what's going on.

Is there something going on in your life tonight that you're having a hard time believing? Take comfort in knowing that no matter what you're going through God hasn't forgotten about you. You may have a hard time understanding what's going on. But the Lord knows. He always knows.

Have you ever left the house and forgotten something at home? Maybe you forget your wallet, phone, or even your keys. Or maybe you have a hard time remembering important dates like birthdays or anniversaries. Sometimes it's just hard to remember everything. We can even forget important things about God's Character that can get us through tough times.

His Character is great and vast. There's a lot of varying aspects to who He is. And sometimes it becomes easy to forget some the most comforting things.

This morning we take a look at Psalm 103 as we Remember What We Sometimes Forget about God.

Sometimes we all face times in life when we really begin to question whether God truly loves us. We face difficult situations and difficult decisions. We face unknown storms and we are at a total and complete loss as to what to do.

The Disciples faced a literal storm like this. They were experienced fishermen, and yet they feared for their very lives. But in this storm, the Lord taught them a lesson.

Maybe you're asking yourself tonight, Jesus, if you love me, why do I hurt? If this is you, run to the Master tonight.

It's November now. You've probably already seen people on social media doing a daily post of thanksgiving for their blessings. While it may not quite be Thanksgiving Day yet, who says we have to wait until the last of the month to be thankful? The Bible calls us to be thankful always. So why not start now?

How can you express your thankfulness to God each and every day? Psalm 100 shows us multiple ways to live with a grateful heart. Express your thankfulness to God today!

As Christians we are to be more Christ-minded. We are called to be more like Him. Even the term Christian means to be Christ-like. Sometimes it's hard to be more like Christ. Our flesh fights against us at every turn. But one thing we can surely do is Love Like Jesus.

Jesus was a busy man, in the height of His ministry, soon facing His own death. The crowds gathered around Him. Two blind men called out to Him, causing Him to stand still. He called back to them, touched their eyes, and healed them.

So how can we love like Jesus? Tonight we examined this miracle to see how. It's not always easy. But with Christ as our example, we can Love Like Jesus.

In Leviticus, the Priests were told not to rend, or tear, their clothing in mourning or frustration. They were the only ones with direct access to God behind the veil. They could run to Him instead.

Those who are saved are also called priests of their own homes and families. Those instructions apply to us to. We have direct access to God now, we are anointed by the Holy Spirit, and have an advocate in Jesus. What reason do we have to rend our clothing?
