This morning our choir opened our service with a special Easter Cantata full of spirit filled songs that tell the story of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Did you know that the Bible talks more about worship than it does about prayer? It's pretty obvious that God makes a big deal about worship. So why have we made it such a low priority in our lives? In fact, it's almost like most churches try to avoid the topic. It's a divisive that tends to cause people to cringe and has caused more than one church to split fellowship. But why?

This morning we get back to the heart of worship be examining the basics of what worship really is. So go ahead, raise a hand, shout amen, and give the Lord our worship, because He is worthy!

As we enter into Holy Week on this Palm Sunday, we enter into the shadow of the cross where Jesus would lay down His life for us almost 2,000 years ago. But the cross is still just a relevant today as it was then. It serves as a relationship to those who are saved. In the past it justifies. In the present it sanctifies. And in the future it glorifies.

Consider the cross tonight. Behold it's saving power. Search your heart and realize its importance to us beyond salvation.
