There are times in our lives when we could all use an encourager, someone to come along and lift you up with their kindness, helpfulness, words, and prayers. We all need a Barnabas in our lives.

On the reverse side of that statement, there are times when others could use for you to be an encourager, lifting them up and helping them along. There are times when they need you to be a Barnabas.

Barnabas was the son of encouragement. He is the standard that we can look to if we wish to be a better encourager. Tonight Pastor Justin shows us some of his character traits. Do you want to be like Barnabas?

By and large, the world despises Christians. We live life under a microscope. The world waits like starving vultures for a Christian to stumble and fall so they can point them out and say "AHA! SEE! THEY'RE NOT PERFECT! I THOUGHT THEY WERE A CHRISTIAN!?" It's a realization we must understand and be aware of each and every day.

Your life is the only Bible some people will ever read. They may never enter the door of a church. They may never read the scriptures. But they might see you, and the way you live your life, and be moved.

Alternatively, the way you live your life could push someone away from the Lord for ever. That's a convicting thought.

Commit to live your life in such a way that it always points to the Lord!

As Baptists, we believe in Eternal Salvation. Once saved, always saved. But why do we believe that? Can we defend it?

Tonight Pastor Justin give us a little Apologetic lesson (Apologetics of the defense of the Christian faith) on how we can defend Eternal Salvation Biblically.

Take comfort in the knowledge that we cannot lose our salvation!

God is known by many names in the Bible. Several of them are compound names beginning with "Jehovah." The name Jehovah means "the present Lord" or "the Lord with you." Jehovah Tsaba means the Lord with you who is a warrior. Jehovah Rapha means the Lord with you who heals. Jehovah Rohi means the Lord with you who is my shepherd. But this morning we want to examine Jehovah Jireh; The Lord with you who provides.

God asked Abraham to perform the unthinkable; sacrifice his only son to God. The Bible doesn't record that Abraham argued with God. He was faithful and obedient but he still needed Jehovah Jireh that day. He needed someone to provide a replacement sacrifice, or provide a miracle to raise Isaac from the dead. He needed a provider!

Maybe you need a provider today. Are you facing a financial situation? Maybe it's health. Maybe it's just a bad situation that you need help with. Whatever your situation, take comfort in knowing that we serve Jehovah Jireh. He is with us, and He can provide. Call upon Him today!

Monday marks the first day of Spring. With the weather we've had recently, you can see the signs of new life popping up everywhere. Trees and flowers are blooming. Baby birds are chirping. The newness of Spring is all around us.

Did you know that man goes through a similar "spring change?" 2 Corinthians tells us that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away.
