Last Sunday morning the Holy Spirit filled our church and Pastor Justin obediently let the Spirit lead and he didn't have the opportunity to preach. But tonight he revisited the sermon he had intended to preach that morning. The Lord orchestrated it to be preached tonight, and it fits right along with the sermon that was preached this morning.

In the sermon, A Mind That is Made Up, we examine the life of Job, one of the wealthiest men in the world at the time. Job had convictions. He had already made up his mind about God and his service to Him before he lost all that he had.

We have to make up our own minds about convictions and circumstances long before we are faced with the temptations of those decisions. But beware; once we make up our minds about something, rest assured that the devil is going to attack full force to test you, just like he tested Job.

Is your mind made up? Do it now, before you are faced with a split-second decision that could change your life.

The book of Nehemiah tells us that if we will fight for our families, then God will fight for us. So, are you willing to lace up the gloves and go toe-to-toe with Satan for your family? It may be the most important battle of your life. But God is in your corner, backing you up. And if He needs to, He will step in and fight alongside you!

It's not hard to see; the family is under attack day in and day out. Morality is sinking. Sin is being legalized, championed, paraded, and glorified. Christian families are becoming the exception rather than the norm.

If Satan can get 1 family, he will try to destroy a church from within. He can't destroy it without destroying the family. Let's make a stand, and go as many rounds as it takes to save our families!

Paul and Silas were imprisoned, chained and bound. They were facing dark times. But at the midnight hour, in the midst of their circumstances, the continued to praise and worship God for His Mercy, Grace, and Goodness. The other prisoners no doubt thought they were crazy.

But as they sang and worshiped Him, a great earthquake shook the jail and freed them of their bonds. Not just for them, but for them all.

What we do in our midnight hour can change us, our situation, and others around us. Can you lift up your voice and praise Him during your midnight hour?

The Bible tells us that Joseph fought the temptation of Potiphar's wife day in and day out. Each and every day she tempted him, trying to get Joseph to sin. But Joseph held strong and fled the temptation.

We, too, face temptation each and every single day. It might be the temptation of alcohol, drugs, pornography, adultery, stealing...the list could go on and on. But the reality is that the battle against temptation is a daily one.

It's a battle we all must face. Fight the probability, fight the power, and fear the price.
