Here I am discussing how sometimes I get down when I’m forced to face reality. Sometimes I still get sucked into lack/poor mentality & it is obnoxious. Luckily my husband and I are on the same page with life goals and we work together as a team. So most of the time I can live with my head in the clouds. And when I can’t I know we have each other to lean on and confide in. Here I discuss why I believe comedians should have the space to talk about ANY and EVERYTHING in a funny way. Humor opens doors to conversations and topics that would otherwise make people uncomfortable or avoid altogether. People, especially comedians, should be able to exercise their freedom of speech regardless of how their words may trigger others emotionally. It is YOUR duty and job to ensure YOU are balanced, happy, fulfilled. If words are going to be that triggering to you then keep to yourself and your circle and never speak out against anything ever again. Because if you want to dictate and control how others speak then your freedom of speech privileges should be revoked as well 🖕🏾🙅🏽‍♀️💋

Here I am discussing the statement that Kimberly Kardashian said about work ethic and why I agree with her. I’m still learning but I have a much better understanding of how to get things done; goals accomplished. Say what you will about her & her family & remember that they’re Billion Dollar earners regardless of any outsider’s opinion 💪🏾🧠🤘🏾

Watching people with extreme emotional reactions is tough because I know exactly what that feels like. I’ve been toxic and the worst many times yet I came out the other side a changed human for the better. So I try not to make others feel I am better in any way. I just want to show that it’s possible to change for the betterment of yourself (and others will benefit too) no matter how awful you may feel or be. This reality is full of dualities. For example, every phenomenal amazing moments have an equally horrendous violent effect as well. How can we know what’s “good” and just if we never know what bad feels like or how intense injustice can sting? How can we accept others fully if we can’t even accept and love ourselves first? Not saying I agree with all of it but I understand it and try to live with integrity these days. In conclusion you ain’t no betta than me and I ain’t betta than you 😏🤯👊🏽

Stuck in the middle of the shit and it’s annoying, lonely, bleak. But I’m doing my best to move forward even though I’m wishing I had people I could turn to. But I’m in no way desperate, in no way letting just anybody in, and am perfectly fine waiting as long as I have to while slowly making moves in the dark.

I was watching a bunch of videos on YouTube about being politically correct and the rage against not saying pronouns correctly that it moved me to speak. This is probably an unpopular opinion but I do not appreciate people projecting their shit onto me or others and expecting us to behave however they see fit. That’s not how this world works and I truly believe there are more effective alternatives. So if you’re easily offended and unwilling to be open minded this is not the episode and probably also not the podcast for you. Ok byeeeee ✌🏾👄

Here I am expressing some negative side effects of this journey. Often I feel detached from reality that it really fucks with my mood and pisses me off. What’s worse is I feel that I cannot express myself to those around me and times like this I actually feel desperate for that kind of connection. Still I’m trying to adapt and have humility but sometimes I cannot shake it. So I figure better to speak on it in a safe space and so this episode happened. Keep pushing future Vanessa. In this episode I talk about how I learned to set boundaries without feeling guilty. It’s a tough start sometimes but worth it ten fold once you get the hang of it. Do not rely or depend on anyone to make your decisions or lead your life. It’s unfair to put that on others and even more detrimental for yourself. Just trust you know best for you and do what you can to successfully control your life without input from others. Short term discomfort for a lifetime of happiness and fulfillment is what you’ll get if you take back the power to yourself. Harsh truths lead people to make the best decisions sometimes so don’t ask me to decide for you and I won’t ask for you to decide for me. Let’s grow independently together 😎
