After getting off the last bus, she called her friend for a ride. Just as the call connected... her phone died.
The house wasn't far away. At least, that's what she remembered.
So she began walking.
The street was empty. Only the sound of the wind, distant trees, and flickering streetlights kept her company.
Then she noticed something strange.
Every time she slowed down...
Another set of footsteps seemed to slow down with her.
When she stopped...
The footsteps stopped too.
She told herself it was only her imagination.
So she kept walking.
No matter how frightened she became, she never looked back.
