Vanished in the Valley

Staying with last weeks Satanic Panic theme, this week we discuss the Finders cult. We will go over what broke this case open, some of the evidence and what points to government involvement. I don't know how many times US officials have to be caught, either directly or indirectly involved in pedophile rings, before the public decides its not OK and storms town halls with pitch forks and torches.

Make sure to rate, review and subscribe if you like what me and Ken are doing. We just want to keep the vanished people's name out in the public's mind. If we keep it up, maybe it will spur someone that knows something into coming forward and leading us to someone's missing loved one.

In this follow up Episode to Vanished Sense in the Satanic Panic, Athena puts some of the more "outlandish" claims of sexual abuse into context and makes the claims much easier to understand and believe. She also goes into detail about the tunnels that were cleverly hidden under the McMartin Pre-School. We also get a new name in the Vanished lexicon! Athena will be introducing the True Crime Karens. You know who you are, the people that never have anything postiive to add to a discussion, the one that is ready to jump down anyones throat at the first chance, the ones that don't actually create and contribute to the True Crime genre and just in general like to spread needless hate and trolling.

Athena tells you about the McMartin Preschool Trials and how the term "Satanic Panic" came into the collective forethought. We start this roller coaster by learning a bit about Judy Johnson, the mother who kicked off the initial investigation with police. The mother that the press lied about and still to this day, untruthfully, accuse of having severe mental illness. Just like in the Franklin Scandal and The Marc Dutroux case, the media started an active campaign of lies and slander about the victims of sexual abuse. There was so much info in this case that this is just p.1 so make sure to come back to download p.2

Athena tells the story of Mostly Harmless, a hiker who was found dead back in July of 2018. Florida law enforcement released a composite sketch based on a dead body and luckily a hiker on Face Book was able to put the composite together with a man she met on the trails called Mostly Harmless. Here we are two years later trying to ID this guy and get him back to his family. Go check out the Instagram or Face book to see if you can give this man a real name.

Athena tells the story of a nationwide pedophile ring that pandered children to a cabal of the rich and powerful. The ring’s pimps were a pair of political powerbrokers who had access to the highest levels of our government. Nebraska legislators attempted to expose the network in 1989 and 1990, but the legislators' efforts were followed by a rash of mysterious deaths and the overpowering responses of federal and local law enforcement, including the FBI and Justice Department, which effected an immaculate cover-up of the trafficking network.

In this super short episode, Athena attempts to croak out the story of DeOrr Kuntz. 2 year old DeOrr went missing July 10 2015 from a rugged camp site in the back woods of Idaho. There are crazy twists and turns in this story because of the many different stories and interviews given by the people that were present when DeOrr went missing. If you know anything about this case you can contact me through email [email protected] or contact the Lemhi County Sheriff's office at 208-756-8980. There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to DeOrr's location.

Athena and Ken decide to lighten it up a bit with tales of vanishings that have been attributed to alien abductions. Athena starts with the first ever widely US reported abduction of Betty and Barney Hill. We get lost on a tangent some where in the middle about reparations for the descendants of slaves and close up the episode with the story of the UFO crash landing in Roswell NM and Travis Walton's story, Fire in the Sky.
