The Varsity KC gang wraps up the 2019 football season with a preview of the Class 1-5 MSHSAA State Football Championships. Oh, and they hand out a few Varsity letters and their own Coach of the Year award, too.

A bum foot has kept Troy on the injured list, but the Varsity Kansas City team soldiers on and sets up for the MSHSAA State Football semi-finals in Class 1-5 and the Class 6 championship.

The Varsity KC gang takes a look at the MSHSAA football playoffs as Summit Christian Academy, Odessa, Grain Valley, Platte County, Raytown & Staley move into the quarterfinal round and Raymore-Peculiar advances to the Class 6 semi-finals with a win over previously undefeated Liberty North.

As reporters and editors, we hate cliches. But sometimes Cliches are the only phrases that work. This week, the gang spends a few minutes to talk about tennis, volleyball, swimming and cross country before digging into this week's slate of football games and the gauntlet that is the 2019 schedule.
