Ok, so the headline this week is probably only funny to some of the parents (maybe grand-parents) and coaches. But last week’s rain-soaked fields offered a perfect opportunity to highlight a position of strength for many of the teams in the suburban areas. Before diving into this week’s slate of games, the panel takes a look at some of the rushing performances on display so far in the 2018 season.

Here we are staring at week 3 of the high school football season. Some big questions this week, will the three Lee's Summit schools remain undefeated for another week? Can Staley run the table? In a battle of unbeaten conference newcomers, will it be Grain Valley or Smithville who notches their first Suburban Conference victory? And just how good is Summit Christian Academy?

Week 1 is in the books and the season is officially in full swing. With a

handful of big time matchups — including Blue Springs at Rockhurst and

Kearney at Staley, the panel talks about teams looking to make early

statements and maybe make an early move to separate themselves from the

pack.

The high school football season begins Friday, Aug. 24 and host Nick Parker

and the panel take a look at the upcoming season in the Greater Kansas City

Suburban conferences, as well as few other suburban area teams.
