This evening we present the remarkable insight and human sensitivity of Rabbi Yosef Rimon, as he closely analyzes a line of Maimonides to derive a lesson of superb sensitivity in pinpointing the beginning of kindness, before any action takes place. We present the phenomenon of the third day, when regret might undermine an ambitious decision or undertaking, and who gives us the strength to live up to our highest impulses. And we analyze Makom Kavua ( a set place for prayer) learned from Avraham: when it is appropriate and when not, what does it mean, and how this helps us distinguish between Noach, whose greatness escapes his grasp, and Avraham, who achieves and bequeaths greatness to us.
